I know how to relax. And you too need to take time to relax every day. Otherwise you’ll be in trouble. But don’t you worry. I’ll tell you how to do it right. For maximum effect.
You lay down on a sofa. Preferably on your own sofa and your own blanket. But anywhere will do. Then you turn onto your back and lift your feet up. Just let them hang up there, don’t push it. Let you tail rest comfortably. You can close your eyes…or keep them open. Whatever brings you at ease.
And then you just breathe. In and out. Just like that. You let all the worries float away. Like is the dinner ever gonna be served. Or how long a walk you’re going to get tonight.
Face it. You can’t control much anyway. So let it all go. Just be there. Accept what is. And feel content. There’s nothing more you need. Everything comes to you at the right time.
See, that’s not too difficult. I hope you got it. Oh, dinner is ready. I have to go now.
But one more thing, and I hope mom would learn it – don’t watch too much news. Not good for you. NatGeo is much better. Or the Dog Whisperer. Something soothing and all natural. Helps you relax. There you go.
Much love,
Dylan.
Great advice from Dylan and humor from mom. 🙂
He is a good teacher 🙂 Thanks Brad.
LOL
Wonderful advice for this time of year Helen! I watch my dog do this everyday and he never gets stressed ha!! 🎄🍁🎄 we can all learn from them. 💕💕
Yes, I too thought his advice was very timely. And it relaxes me just watching him relax 😍 I remember all I’ve learnt but forgotten when stress strikes. Thanks Karen 🙏
Sam and Dylan make great teachers, tiny. 🙂
They do! What would we do without them 🙂 Hugs!
Dylan is quite the counselor with very wise advice. Thanks for sharing Dylan and of course Tiny (mum) for encouraging and nourishing him:-)
Yes he is. So trusting and always loving he doesn’t need to speak to give good counsel 🙂 Thank you my friend.
Hahahahahaaaa… I can see that Dylan is becoming the proud owner of a scribe! As well as a sofa, a blanket, and wisdom far beyond his years.
He may be interested to know that he has a parallel entity living in Oz. Yes, this little Oz puppy also knows the secrets of relaxation. Why, only last night he could be seen sprawled on someone’s lap (no free guesses here) encouraging that same sense of leisure. 😉 😉 xoxoxo
Haha…I think you are right, but he doesn’t know that as yet or perhaps they don’t get attached to what they own 😉 Dylan sends his love to the little puppy in Oz ❤ XOXO
That’s one wise pup!
He says thank you!
Dylan, you have so much for us to learn from! That throw looks very comfy!!
The throw is very comfy, I inherited it so it has some patina of time. I wonder why people tend to worry about tomorrow when they could enjoy today….have a great now, Val. Love, D
Have a great now! Love it D 💕
Dylan looks like he’s got the relaxing thing down. 🙂
He certainly has…and he looks too funny sleeping on is back 🙂
Taking time to relax is always easier said then done – good lesson Dylan!
I’m trying to tell that to mom…she could just relax here on the sofa with me and give me tummy rubs. That would be very relaxing for both 🙂
Very amusing, I showed my friend and she laughed too.
Dylan is happy he made you laugh 🙂
Dylan is chillin’.
He’s very good at chillin’, but also a great runner when it’s time to exercise. We run with our ears flapping in the air.
Dylan, you’re making me feel relaxed already. 🙂
Oh, great it’s working 🙂 Love to you and Jack, D
I think I have the relaxing part down pat – I need improvement on the motivational time! 🙂
Perhaps think of it this way: if you do the motivational part, then the relaxing part is even more enjoyable 🙂
Dylan, you sure have the right idea! Thanks for the tips.
You are welcome, Skip 🙂
Dylan is so cute to look at that I have a difficult time taking in his advise, I’m too busy going: Aww, totally adorable. So I think his advise must be sinking into me on a visceral level because I feel relaxed. 🙂
Dylan, like all dogs, is completely ‘natural’ and has no idea how cute he is 🙂 And his ability to relax is marvelous…no worries about anything. And everything happens in the “now”. Thanks Genie ❤
Thanks Dylan. Freesat has a very relaxing Japanese channel that we resort to when we want to take our minds off things.
That sounds like a great service!
Dylan has the right idea!
So he says 🙂
Wise words — thanks Dylan! 🙂
Happy you agree, Meg. Love, D 🙂
Great reminders, Dylan! Especially for this time of year…
Thanks Barbara! I hope mom too remembers what I said…
Excellent advice, Dylan. Thank you!
He says “thank you, Laurie”…and he is very relaxed right now too 🙂
Thanks for all the good tips.
Dylan says you’re welcome 🙂
Beautiful photos and great tips, Dylan. I’m sure that mom loves to relax with you. I know I would. 🙂 xx
Oh, yes, mom loves relaxing with him. And is answering for him because he is far too relaxed already 🙂 XX
Thank you, Dylan! Such great advice!
He says he’s happy you liked his advice, Susan!
Thanks Dylan! The best greetings and many nosekisses from Finland! Yours Hertta and Anja:-)
He says thank you Hertta and Anja 😀
