Monday Musings: Nightfall

When the night is born

Out of the last light

The day’s comings and goings

Are recycled by the mind

The words used and the silences

The doings and the neglects

All scrutinized by the heart

But abandon the judgment

Let go of the unforgiving criticism

Set your mind on a path to learning

Kindle the light of forgiveness in your heart

And let your soul dwell in the peace

Of the night just born.

  1. Did I forget that you are a wonderful poet? How can that be? A beautiful poem and I love the idea of recycling thoughts in the mind. Really brilliant. 🙂

    1. I hope you’ll get the sleep balance fixed up soon…the snow will melt on its own time table, but it shouldn’t be long now.

  2. Here I am, trying to find out what poet wrote that…and I realize, it was you! Nicely done. If that’s just your ‘thoughts written down’ then you definitely are thinking on a much more elevated frame of mind.

Would love to hear your thoughts!
