River holds its breath
Offers reflection on life

Mirror shows what is
Future days not yet revealed
Staying in the now.
Breathing
At the quiet lake
life moves slowly
it looks back
content with what has been
it senses the future
ever so slightly
but more than anything
it makes a nest in the present
gently breathing.
Relax!
Just sittin’ here on a boulder
takin’ in the taste of the Now
no worries are on my shoulder
wonder if people know how
to let go and relax like this?

At the little pond,
dragonflies enjoy the day,
their final on earth.
Worry-free, playing,
taking in the beautiful,
everlasting sights.
The pond is their world,
rich and completely safe,
only today counts.
Your Presence Is Required (a poem)
This evening is a good time to start
start what, you ask me confused
start being here, I say with love
this day has already gone, and
tomorrow is not yet here.
So where does that leave me
you ask, and I simply respond
here, present in this moment.
No effort required to just be,
nothing to have, and nothing
to do in particular, just breathe.
Your presence is required.
