Nothing’s happening
Yet everything is here Now

When your mind is quiet
All chatter is gone
Churning has ceased
And your thoughts rest

Hope reappears
Gratitude takes hold
And the quiet space
Is filled with peace?
I find a tiny green branch to rest on
Drained I sigh, sigh

I take a new brave look at the world

Climb high
Above your daily grind
To a place where you can see
Life’s bigger picture
Where light is yours to touch
Worries dissipate
And solutions become visible
Then you just hold on
Until you are ready
To spread your wings and fly.
I found this tranquil place
by chance this afternoon
tucked at the back
of an old English garden.
When I sit here
time doesn’t chase me
and no thought is too small
or too big to be born.
The space opens skyward
light streaming down
as if calling me, urging me
to reach for my dreams.

With this peaceful picture of nature I want to send a message of hope and encouragement to family, friends and readers in the North East who have experienced loss, damage to their homes and their environment, are flooded out and/or without power today as a result of the super storm yesterday and today.
