Storms visit our lives
Dark clouds come out of nowhere
Dragons lift their heads
But it’s all temporary
Light will return in good time.

The iron prow-head points forward
As in knowing the future direction
It also balances the weight of the past
At the stern of my gondola.

They say time is curved
Observing the event horizon from the outside
Is considerably less painful
Than riding the curve on the inside
Stumbling on all the broken pieces.

The Now is timeless
A play of shadows and light
Anno fourteenten.
Soon, with lightning speed
The scenario changes
Frecciarossa.

Courage brings to life
what can be imagined
Courage lifts its head
above what’s familiar.
Courage speaks up to fear
and it listens humbly
Courage always rides
on the back of peace.
Life is flying by
Head just above the water
Where do I find calm?
The answer is: in nature
I treasure these rare moments.
Rising high on the sunset sky
The reddish moon of tonight
I quiet my mind and it moves closer
That’s a beautiful sight.
My conscious world grows smaller and smaller
Thoughts come to close with ease
They drop away one by one
I feel nothing but Peace.
It’s in the evening I see them. The sand crabs. Hurrying home from the day’s work. When the voice of the wind has become a barely audible whisper. And the ocean is almost still. I watch Mother Nature go to rest.
As the birds arrive home from their last flights, I sigh. Exhale all my worries. Dip my toes in the water, and feel the peace. Soul-deep gratitude to be alive. At this moment of connection to pure love.
On soft August nights
Summer dreams of the ocean
Toes dipped into waves.
