Hi Tiny…I LOVE this!!! I am up north and the air has a crispness to it and we just this morning said the summer is waning! Perfect! Hope you are well…and that the wonderful sun has been blessing you! I love that you are talking with your poetry muse!! 😉 ❤
Happy you enjoyed my little haiku. My poetry muse has been on a long vacation…but there seem to be some hope that she’ll come back to work at least part-time 😉 It’ll take a while before the summer will be waning for us, as you know, but I wish you lots of blessings and enjoyment of the crisp fall air up north ❤
Tiny, this post struck HOME for me. I need all the calm I can get, all the sustenance I can get from Mother, because here I am just face to face with the time of the year where once again I will have to close up my gardens. For now, it is rest time for me. Enjoy the heat, enjoy the GREEN, enjoy the breezes, the bird song, the crickets, the PEACE that surrounds my soul as Mother embraces me fully. LOVED your post, my friend. My soul just sighed ….. (((HUGS))) Amy ❤
Very well done … classic form adhered to…
The muse in you has awoken …
keep up the good work,
more is better than perfect,
write for yourself, the rest of the world will be OK.
Your pictures are worth a thousand words,
do not minimize their importance to your muse.
Love, hugs and let us all see more … ME
Thank you ME, for your encouraging words. I used to write lots of poems, but then wanted to write stories/photo essays…and simply could not write a single poem. But now it seems to flow a bit better again. So there will be more, I’m sure.
I am impressed with your use of words.
Thanks Susan. I’m trying to get my muse back to writing some poetry.
I love this and the photo is stunning!
Thanks Mandy! The Egret flew into the water and just enjoyed the wind on her face 🙂

yes…
That’s great, David.
Last line evokes mirth . . .
summer lingers longer here
still shouting out loud 😎
Nice haiku Nancy!! And you’re right, of course. I’m trying to tell myself that it’ll not linger too much longer…it helps 😀

This is exquisite, Helen. Beautiful photo and words. 🙂
Thank you Sylvia!
I love this, especially the last line. It makes me feel how gently summer can shift into the time of autumn. Beautiful photo too!
Thank you Elizabeth. Here in Florida that shift is very slow and gentle over the next couple months…and we sometimes wish it was faster.
Fabulous foto!
Thanks Cindy!
Thank you for taking me right there. With words and imagery.
xo
It’s good to be still and listen…thanks Val. xxoo
Ah yes Tiny… xo
Your words are crisp and mesmerizing. And that photo is so fitting!
Thank you Subashini!
Great shot and the haiku as if it is coming from its thoughts 🙂
It might have 😀 Thanks Randall.
