  1. After leaving the practice of law, I worked/served in the non-profit world for 10 years ~ leading a crisis intervention team to educate victims of domestic violence and then running an AmeriCorps program. BFF switched from construction related work to running a ReStore for Habitat for Humanity.

Lots of warm fuzzy feelings from serving others.

    1. That is great! I don’t think there’s anything more internally rewarding. I have worked for international non-profits since I was in my mid thirties, that of course is just a little while 🙂 and still do consult with them every now and then.

  2. Indeed, grow! Servant leadership is a concept I learned early in my career (thanks to a wonderful mentor) and have openly practiced since. The experience, while practically innate, has returned unanticipated blessings many fold. Giving, sharing, and guiding – unconditionally. Why not? 🙂

    1. Yes, indeed! I love this quote from William Arthur Ward: “We must be silent before we can listen. We must listen before we can learn. We must learn before we can prepare. We must prepare before we can serve. We must serve before we can lead.”

Would love to hear your thoughts!
