A Short Walk in Search of Fall

Earlier this week, I decided to go look for signs of fall here in my neighborhood.  Even in nature that’s mostly evergreen, there should be some signs of the seasons changing. Other than somewhat cooler temperatures with occasional cold fronts, shorter days and migrating birds.

When I looked carefully, I found some seasonal colors in our garden, on the beach, around the bay and the salt marsh in the park. We don’t see the type of stunning color palettes you have up north, but I found a few small spots of eye-popping color. I hope you like the Florida fall colors I picked up on my walk.

Sending warm thoughts and prayers to those blogging friends who experienced the epic snow storm this week, and are now expecting flooding. Please stay safe. You can read about their struggle on Amy’s blog.

Love always, Tiny

    1. Thanks Sylvia! The Muscovy Duck always gets into my pictures as it tends to follow me when I’m on the east end of the marsh…I think its home is nearby.

    1. I hope you got some little sleep, Amy. And that the weekend will prove easier than might be expected. Sending love, warm thoughts and prayers – Tiny

      1. Tiny, it is pouring rain right now and yes, we have flood warnings. Hubs and I spent all afternoon getting as much snow and ice from off our roofs. We have prepared our basement. We both are so exhausted I think we could fall asleep standing up. Thank you for the reblog and your Love. (((HUGS))) Amy

        1. Dear Amy, it’s good to be prepared, but I hope and pray, it’ll not be needed. I wish you a good night’s sleep. Lots of love and hugs!

          1. I had trouble sleeping last night, Tiny. Just too much on my mind. We are still dry and without any damages. I am going to try to drive around in my car to get more photos. Try. (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. When you have -15 it’s bound to limit the colors in nature mostly to whites, grays and browns. But maybe a little green in the pines and firs? A some blue in the sea? Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm!

  1. I would have liked to have seen the images, Helen; from the comments they must have been wonderful. However, not one did I see! How strange; this is surely a first. I shall just have to picture them mentally, and know they are gorgeous. Have a great Sunday. 😉

    1. Thank you Mag. There are some colorful spots in the evergreen, but I don’t always see them. Happy you enjoyed the pictures. Hugs to you too!

Would love to hear your thoughts!
