Stillness speaks to me softly
A faint aroma of the day
Lingers in the evening breeze
Gently touching my mind
A leaf of suspended memories
Floats through my consciousness
As today curves into the night
Stillness before tomorrow.
Stillness speaks to me softly
A faint aroma of the day
Lingers in the evening breeze
Gently touching my mind
A leaf of suspended memories
Floats through my consciousness
As today curves into the night
Stillness before tomorrow.
exquisite! ❤
Thanks Cindy! Sunsets always speak to me.
Nicely done my friend ❤
Happy you liked it, my friend.
Beautiful!
Thanks Kathy!
“A faint aroma of the day…” I imagine a bit of salty air pleasing your olfactory sense. A fan of silence and stillness, this speaks warmly to me. Thanks!
The salty air is always a part of my days here, so it’s definitely in the aroma mix! Happy it spoke to you, Eric.
Wonderful!
Thanks Jules! I was tempted to use your expression ” long legs of time” in this poem. I love it!
Simply delightful!
Thanks Joanne, happy you enjoyed it.
🙂 🙂 🙂
😀
:)… love the title.
When time curves it is silent 🙂
Enjoyed this, Tiny. Thanks for the share.
Thanks Nancy! The beach is always full of inspiration, one never knows what will come out 🙂
This is so calming, Tiny. 🙂
Thank you Sylvia. I always find the waves rolling in so soothing.
Lovely, Helen.
I love the line – “As the day curves into the night.”
Thanks Carolyn. I like how it always curves so fast at the end 🙂
Yes, you are right. And that’s a lovely way to describe it.
Have a great weekend. 🙂
You too Carolyn!
Beautiful.
Thanks Matti! Have a nice weekend!
This soothes my soul!
I’m happy about that, Nancy. I’m sure you need some soothing after the work week. have a wonderful weekend!
Very nice. I imagine things are cooling off now. Have you seen any sign of the much colder weather your more northerly neighbours are feeling?
Thanks Maurice. Things are definitely cooling off from summer heat, right now 18C and later today about 23C. But we dipped down to 4C on Wednesday morning with day temps about 12C for three days this past week. So we feel it’s fall now, fantastic walking weather, no excuse 🙂
My favorite part of the day is sunrise and I live on the east coast. You love the sunset and live on the west coast. Funny how that works out, isn’t it? I do love my visits to the west coast though and enjoy the sunsets then. Such beauty in your words and image, Tiny!
That’s funny, isn’t it. I’m an evening person and tend to stay up far too late…so sunrise walks are a bit rare for me 🙂 Thanks for your kind comments, Cyndi.
A delicate stream of consciousness beautifully executed.
Absolutely divine…LOVE!!! Thank you, Tiny! 💞
Happy you liked it, LL. Happy Thanksgiving ❤
“Stillness speaks to me softly”
I find loud stillness very annoying.
I like to listen to the stillness 🙂
I always find bodies of water to be very peaceful…. the ocean, lakes, rivers… beautiful photo and poem.
