It was! This is the park at the end of the nature reserve, and the most northern point of our barrier island. It is a great place for fishing and picnic. But one day last week, lightning hit very close to this spot and started a small fire – and a man fishing there in the thunder storm was injured.
Oh dear; there are dangers even in paradise.
There are. When I hear thunder, even from far away, I make sure to speed up to get in as soon as possible.
I wasn’t familiar with Moschofilero, so I had to look it up. Hmmm, I may have to try this “Essence of Summer.” 😉
