A fish jumps
to peek on the setting sun
as in checking his time
Birds quiet down
to put their nestlings to bed
carefully hidden from sight
Nature closes its eyes
to rest in the soft darkness
of mother earth
While the sun travels
between the time zones
greeting each of us in turn.

Thank you David. Needed to think softly tonight.
So serene my friend.
Thanks Jackie! I need to seek serenity to tame a very insistent bug I’ve caught. Doctor’s orders 🙂
Oh no!! Get well soon my friend. You must leave those bugs alone lol….
I agree…they are not fun!
Thank you! I’m happy you enjoyed the poem.
I could see it all unfolding as I read…lovely poem and fantastic picture!
I was looking at the picture again, it just looks so peaceful there. I love places like that and could stay at them for hours. Hugs
It’s always so beautiful and peaceful there. I’m so blessed it’s very close by.
I think I caught some of your serenity in the ripple on my pond. 🙂 It travelled the time zones.
