    1. There is an orange colored Bird of Paradise flower also. It’s the one we sometimes see in fancy flower arrangements.
The white one is a larger, palm-like plant and the flower really doesn’t have a stem. But it is equally beautiful with bright white and light blue. Hugs to you too.

  1. the hardest thing … to be yourself … everything else in nature can do it, but not us human beings! beautiful poem tiny 🙂

  2. I haven’t seen a bird of paradise this colour; it does look a lot like a little creature with wings…!
Gorgeous… and aren’t they an incredibly strong plant..! 😉

    1. there are two plants in this family: the orange one which has a long stem and is a smaller plant, and this white one with almost no stem and a larger, palm-like plant 🙂

      1. Yes, the orange one is familiar to me; it grows here in Australia very well – makes a great border plant, and is extremely hardy. I must ask the local nursery about the white one..! 😉

    1. 🙂 🙂 – have to put two smileys just to get out of my “#@* mood after battling a windows 8.1 update problem the whole day with 2 different tech crews and still have no resolution. Now my famous case has been referred to windows developers. When I calm down, I’ll probably blog about it…sharing 🙂

      1. You realize I worked for the aforementioned behemoth for 10+ years, right? Vent away! 🙂 (I’ve done some *mild* venting on my blog, without naming names, of course).

        1. Phew! Thanks for listening 🙂 my hubby said he’s never seen me so patient (almost 7 hours on the phone)….and offered a glass of good merlot. May need another one 🙂

  3. a wonderful Tanka, Tiny. and maybe it’s just me but the new blog design
seems to allow for more detail and crisper edges of your incredible pics.
i really like the overall look.

  4. Wow, beautiful! The poem and the picture work so eloquently together. Soar, my friend, soar! (I’ve been deprived of seeing this beautiful white version of Bird of Paradise. Thanks for capturing it for us. ) Enjoy your journey. ~Marie :0)
