Newly frozen lake
Bright reflections of life
On crystal clear ice
Spellbind her heart.
In her silent dreams
Beautiful thoughts
Like vibrant flowers
Bud in the snow.
Reality curves outward
her mind turns inward
stillness floods the canvas
and she just is.
Fantastic!
Thank you Julie!
Lovely. . . The picture and poem work well together.
Thanks Sheryl – this picture is an artistic version of the lake where my father’s house still is.
Absolutely beautiful!!
Thanks you Noora – that place inspires me.
a beautiful pic / poem pairing,
i especially love this passage;
n her silent dreams
Beautiful thoughts
ike vibrant flowers
Bud in the snow.
i’ve been thinking a lot about the
bulbs waiting for their time to shine….
Thank you! I see beautiful thoughts as flowers – and this time of the year they are sprouting from the snow in many places. But spring will arrive in a few short weeks!
“T”, thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment, and for you as well…this piece could be the first paragraph of a beautiful story. Regards, Ann
Thank you Ann. I really enjoy your poetry!

this is really lovely, the image and the words … but I am curious about beautiful thoughts … now I be looking for them all day in our summer paradise … thanks for this tiny 🙂
Thanks for your nice comment. I had responded the same evening from my Kindle but now see it has disappeared in the cyber space. But beautiful thoughts can grow everywhere 🙂
I am about to go to the dentist so will stay alert for beautiful thoughts on the way 🙂

Thanks! I’m happy you enjoyed it.
Beautiful – both of them!
