Wow what kind of bird is that?
I think it is a Limpkin of some sort, but I can be wrong. I found it in the nearby reserve the other day standing like this, on one foot.
I felt myself calming down and exhaling as I read this. Perfect sentiment at just the right moment.
I wrote it for myself this morning and it helped me to exhale. Happy it was for you too.

I have always loved poinsettias for the holiday frenzy. They are so lovely to look upon after a frazzling day. Alas, not this year. The kittens have shredded the two large ones that I bought only a few weeks ago. One has been sent to the dustbin, the other is hanging on, barely.
Wait, what happened to the picture of the poinsettia that I saw at the top of this post when I first arrived? Maybe I am too frazzled!
