Sitting at the foot of the pyramid
I turn my face toward the afternoon sun
like so many have done before me
its rays warm my body
enlighten my thoughts
and bring me some perspective
of life as a continuum
the past merging with the now
and the future stretching
to the eternal empire of time.

Now THAT is not something I can normally see from my back porch :>)
Me neither 🙂 but you can imagine my surprise when I woke up and saw this was the back porch view from my hotel….
That’s a view that takes me back some years and to some very happy memories.
