Sometimes I cry
saying goodbye to a day
that will never return.
I might have wasted it
in complete self-absorption
learning nothing.
I might have misused it
in loveless interactions
serving no one.
I might have lost a precious day
and it will never return
sometimes I cry.
don’t cry…you did your best…always remember that…
thanks for the hug!
Anytime…I’m here for you. 🙂
We all have days like this, but they are perhaps a necessary time in the journey – if only to remind us that we’ll pay better attention the next day.
I fully agree with you Michelle. Those days are reminders to actually live a bit more consciously the way we want to live.
Nice circle set-up – and good reflection. May we all be more mindful and intentional with this one life we’ve been given….
Thanks Melody & amen to your reminder!
The true beauty that I see is the humble acceptance of one’s mistake, rare these days. Touching poem!
Thank you Arjun.
Sometimes we all need a “wasted” day. I think it makes us better on the morrow. Really!
I think so too – we discover things and can make corrections.
This so perfectly captures my goal to be in the moment and how I feel when I have sacrificed those precious moments. Thanks Tiny!
Thanks – that’s how we feel sometimes. Have a great week!
This is beautifully reflective. When I read the title, I thought it might be re the sadness of depression that clouds aching hearts – aching to breathe, live, pulsate joy, that is. But then finding it was at closure of a day that you might have wasted, you took me where I didn’t expect to go. And I liked it, much. Excellent.
Thanks a lot! Have a good weekend.
