A new day opens its arms
to everyone, everywhere
bright and full of promise
you may receive it over the ocean
greet it on the parched land
or welcome it on your porch
but embrace it with gratitude
because yesterday has gone
and tomorrow has not yet
been promised to anyone
this is your day.
